Have you noticed any of these lately?

  • Feeling extra tired or foggy headed
  • Itchy, burning eyes, nose, or mouth
  • Sneezing or a throat tickling, post-nasal drip
  • Sinus pressure or dull headaches

You’re not alone — I’ve been right there too.

Last week, after the cold snap, tons of leaves came down… then it rained. And suddenly, my face, nose, and mouth felt like they were on fire — as if I’d been out in the sun too long or walked into a windstorm. It was wild!

Turns out, the mold spore counts are through the roof right now. And since our home had an indoor mold issue last year, my body is still a bit extra sensitive. But I’m hearing the same complaints from lots of friends and clients — so it’s not just me!

I wanted to share a quick, energy exercise that’s been giving me real relief.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 large and 1 small ziplock bag
  • 1 tissue
  • A few crushed-up leaves from outside

Swipe an outdoor window (yes, the dusty one!) with the tissue to collect a bit of natural debris. Place that tissue in the smaller bag, add the crushed leaves, and seal it up. Then place the small bag inside the larger one and seal the bigger one up too.

Then, while holding it on your body, tap along the meridian points in the video I made for you.

Before you start, rate your energy level and symptom severity — and then again when you finish.

If you notice a shift, try it twice a day for 4–5 days for the best results.

Little by little, my symptoms are lessening. The inside of my nose is no longer burning. My face is less red, and I am less congested and coughing less as a result;)

You can download and print the Allergy Relief Tapping Exercise PDF I created for you here, so you can do this exercise on your own.

And check out the common sense tips and Natural Allergy Remedies below too.

Cheers to feeling better,

And try these common-sense tips to limit your exposure:

  1. Clean your home more often to pick up the extra dust, mold, pollen, and other airborne household allergens, and make sure your vacuum filter is a HEPA filter. You actually could be stirring up pollen versus filtering it out of your home without one.
  2. Keep your windows closed.
  3. Change your clothes and shower when you get home to remove pollen from your person. Clear your nasal passages of allergens and irritants with a Neti pot or my favorite a Neil Med Sinus Rinse.  Clear it off and out of your system, so you aren’t exposing yourself as you try to rest.
  4. Wear shades. Sunglasses can keep airborne allergens out of your eyes. This helped me a lot!
  5. Avoid exercising outdoors.
  6. Notice if your allergy symptoms get worse after eating. If they do, take an inventory of what you just ate, and try eliminating one of the more common inflammatory foods. I would try dairy, gluten, or sugar first, and see if you notice a difference.

Now for Natural Remedies That Work!

I am always pleasantly surprised when things like this work!

  1. Vitamin C is a well-known immune-booster, and 2000mg a day can lower histamine levels.
  2. Add ginger to your juice or make fresh ginger tea by peeling and boiling ginger in water. Ginger is a natural antihistamine! Add local raw honey for a further immune booster and to help your body begin to build up your immunity to local pollen.
  3. Drink a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in 8-10oz of water to reap the benefits of this anti-inflammatory and antibacterial wonder water!
