There is a powerful eclipse happening today.
Eclipses tend to bring about sudden, sometimes shocking changes designed to expand your capacity by spurring growth.
This Leo eclipse invites us to own our power and be who we truly are.
But not the way you may think.
We often think of power as taking control over our lives and making bold moves.
What if true power was simply the ability to meet yourself where you are and to be fully present with what you feel in your heart?
Think about it, if you could soothe and support yourself through any upset, what would stop you?
Giving yourself SLACK is how you can comfort and nurture yourself through any change.
STOP and give yourself the space and time to emotionally process anything upsetting that is happening.
This is an opportunity to notice what your feelings are telling you that you need right now.
LOOK at what is happening as an observer with curiosity versus an actor in your drama.
Think to yourself….”Hmmm, what just happened that is making me feel upset?
This is your heart’s way of asking you to ponder…
What wants to change for the better in my life?
ACKNOWLEDGE your feelings.
Name the feeling. Is it anxiety, worry, doubt, frustration, pressure, or anger? Where do you feel it in your body?
One of the most powerful things you can do is to meet yourself where you are, to honor your truth by admitting how you feel versus stuffing it down or ignoring it.
CARE for your feelings.
In the exercise below, I help you soothe and calm yourself by stimulating specific stress-relieving acupressure points.
If you can care for and support yourself through upset, you begin to learn to trust yourself and your capacity.
You can hold the duality of change that creates growth.
You can find your strength within any struggle.
You can feel pain and acknowledge the new possibility it might provide.
You can begin to see how the end of a chapter is also the new beginning of another.
Get KINESTHETIC
Do something that helps you feel better physically.
Examples:
- Take a bike ride or a walk in nature.
- Rest, take a nap if you feel tired
- Journal, draw or paint.
Most situations that cause an intense emotional reaction are ones that are related to a previous traumatic situation, often from childhood.
In the recounting of childhood traumatic experiences, a lot of my clients remember feeling alone and misunderstood.
When you take the time to do something for yourself, with yourself, you are acknowledging you are worthy of your own care, time and attention.
You are giving yourself the emotional security you needed and maybe didn’t get as a child.
You are learning just how powerful you are!
Much love,
