Even if you are having a bad day, noticing joy can shift your mood and your energy.
A lot of days, being a mom can be frustrating, messy and exhausting, BUT I wouldn’t change it for anything because these moments of joy sustain me.
Years ago, before I met my husband, and I was struggling after a breakup, I began doing the exercise in the video below as I walked up the hill from my apartment to my train stop.
In just that short 7-minute walk, my mood and energy lifted from naming everything I could think of that I LOVED about my life.
It was surprising how much better it made me feel.
We all have more going for us than we recognize.
It’s usually the simple things that are the most potent, like a child’s smile or giggle, a cute pup you see on the street, a beautiful flower, or the sound of summer leaves rustling in the wind.
These simple joys are all around you.
The video below can help you get in touch with them.
If you are reading this blog, Joy is seeking you 😉
So much love and joy,
