Not sure if it was the bad weather, the news or something astrological, but many of my clients felt out of sorts and lost this past week.
I had several emergency session requests with no time to fit anyone in, although I wanted to help. So, I sent my clients the thing that has been helping me so much of late–MUSIC!
Music is a very powerful way to shift both your energy and your mood immediately. Music has the power to balance your Meridians and your Chakras simultaneously. I have witnessed its healing power in my client sessions, in group classes and in my own body.
Although, they can feel really crappy, even demoralizing at times, feelings are just feelings. And feelings pass. I always say, “Upset is Access” to growth if you are able to release the feelings of upset (with energy work or music) think about what is really bothering you about a situation and take the action to change it.
The most difficult part of this process is recognizing the awful feeling and making the choice to help yourself upgrade it. My clients call me for help or do exercises from my old video posts, and you can now add music to the list!
From Abraham Hicks:
“Most people think that they only have the option of responding to the circumstances that surround them. And that’s what makes them attempt the impossible, which is to control the circumstances around them, which only feeds their feeling of frustration and vulnerability because it doesn’t take very much life experience to discover you can’t control all of those circumstances. But you can control your vibration. And when you control your vibration, you’ve controlled everything that has anything to do with you.”
When you can upgrade your mood with music, you raise your vibration and give yourself the confidence to take the next action toward positive change.
So I wanted to share my go to mood lifting songs, so you can reap their energetic benefits.
- This is my personal go to for feeling more connected and present to all I have:
“Finale B” from RENT The Musical
There is no future
There is no past
Thank God this moment’s not the last
There’s only us
There’s only this
Forget, regrets
Or life is yours to miss
No other road, no other way
No day but today
I can’t control (will I lose my dignity
My destiny (will someone care)
I trust my soul (will I wake tomorrow)
My only goal is to be (from this nightmare)
Without You (there’s only now)
The hand gropes (there’s only here)
The ear hears (give in to love)
The pulse beats (or live in fear)
Life goes on (no other path)
But I’m gone (no other way)
‘Cause I die without you (no day but today)
I die without you (no day but today)
No Day But Today
2. This one inspires me to be myself:
“This is Me” from The Greatest Showman
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ’cause here I come
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
3. This song is the one I sent out to my clients. And it got these responses:
“OMG!!!!!! LOVE!!!!!!️️️️️” 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
“Hahaha I LOVE THIS!!!!” 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
“Changes your mood immediately!” 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
WARNING: It’s a little racy.
“Soulmate” by Lizzo
True love ain’t something you can buy yourself
True love finally happens when you by yourself
So if you by yourself, then go and buy yourself
Another round from the bottle on the higher shelf
‘Cause I’m my own soulmate (Yeah, yeah)
I know how to love me (Love me)
I know that I’m always gonna hold me down
(Always gonna hold me down)
Yeah, I’m my own soulmate (Yeah, yeah)
No, I’m never lonely (Lonely)
(No I’m never lonely, no)
I know I’m a queen but I don’t need no crown
Look up in the mirror like damn she the one
And, below is a list of more!
I HIGHLY suggest making a “Feel Good” Playlist, you can use whenever you need it most. 😉
