Last week, every client came in with their central nervous system over-stimulated, in a bit of a state of overwhelm. Several were also complaining about being unable to sleep too. When I recognized there was a pattern, AND I kept experiencing technology snafus, (like my usually very reliable video platform failing and emails not going through), I checked my astrology calendar. Mercury is retrograde AND there was a Big Eclipse over the weekend!
We could feel the effects of these astrological events for the next few weeks. So, I have created an exercise to help you calm and carry on while these forces are at play. I only started paying attention to astrological events when they correlated to specific symptoms and energetic imbalances showing up in the majority of my clients. Your body and emotions are more tuned in to the stars than you would think.
Mercury retrograde has a tendency to overwhelm one’s central nervous system making it difficult to sleep for some and leaving others more prone to agitation and overwhelm during the day. It also can have an impact on technology, travel and interpersonal communication. While “Eclipses can bring about sudden changes and turning points in our lives,” says the Astrotwins. “Unexpected circumstances can arise and demand a radical change of plans. Truths and secrets can explode into the open. Things that aren’t “meant to be” are swept away without notice. Shocking as their delivery can be, eclipses help open up space for the new.”
It’s time to turn up your awareness over the next few weeks. If and when unexpected or upsetting issues arise, check yourself before you wreck yourself and your day. The Astrotwins caution us to “Expect the unexpected, and wait for the dust to settle before you act on any eclipse-fueled impulses.”
As I always say, upset can be access to a new better way, if you can calm yourself down, zoom out and see how you could make changes that could make your life better. We generally don’t make the effort to change anything in our lives unless a problem arises. Looking at what is wrong can make your body and your life feel way more right.
This could be an opportunity to:
- Find a better way or create more efficient systems
- Notice or let go of old emotional patterns that no longer serve you
- Let go of relationships that no longer support you
- Deepen relationships you value with care and honesty
- Gain new confidence in yourself or what’s possible in your life.
