You are not alone.
I got so angry this week, and I knew it was all my fault. After writing the Mercury Retrograde tips last week, I knew this was a classic retrograde lesson.
Both circumstances that revved me up could have been completely avoided if I had set clearer boundaries with my time. I have a habit of saying, “Yes,” before thinking things through. And, while it always makes me feel good to help people, when I do it at the expense of time to eat lunch or to take care of myself, it takes a toll on me.
My Mercury Retrograde lesson was teaching me how to honor my needs. As a result, I am finishing the set up of my new scheduling system. This new system forces me to carve out time in my schedule to take care of myself a month in advance! I am taking care of my needs in advance!
So, I ask you?
Any aggravating blow ups for you this week?
If so, I invite you to:
#1 Do the exercise I sent out last week to calm yourself down and to get grounded again.
#2 Think about what you really want in this circumstance. Is there something you can change to avoid this happening in the future? Maybe to make your life better? What could be the valuable lesson learned here?
I am sharing this because this Mercury Retrograde has been providing growth opportunities for many. I’ve gotten emergency calls and emails from several clients this week.
One business owner was having a breakdown because she had taken on the overwhelming responsibility of writing several new business proposals, and when she asked her partner for help, he refused, saying he had other work he had to complete.
She was angry at him, frustrated to tears and now deep into her old emotional pattern. She was feeling totally let down like EVERYTHING ALWAYS ended up in her lap, and there was no one to help her. Alert!!!!! Victim consciousness at play here! I just needed to remind her of her power.
Whenever you blame anyone, you hand them your power. You give them power over your future.
No matter what anyone else does, you have a choice about what you do next.
So I asked her what she wanted, and she replied,”To pick and to choose what I want to do and when I want to do it, the way he does!” So, I asked, “Why don’t you just do that? Look at your schedule, plan out when you want to write your proposals, and stick to it?”
She paused, and said, “I can do that! Going to move my meetings tomorrow and to work from home to get these proposals finished without the stress of being disrupted at the office.”
Her Mercury Retrograde lesson was about honoring the power of her choices.
Another client had a meeting with the co-op board of the apt she is in the process of buying. She is about to buy her first home! She was excited and anxious, as it brought up her fears about money and her resistance to taking full ownership of her finances. She has a solid plan in place that she created with a trusted financial advisor, but she was now being asked to explain it to the co-op board and she was terrified.
After a long call with her financial advisor and energy work with me, she had overcome her fear and learned Her Mercury Retrograde lesson – How to fully understand her financial choices and to take full ownership of her financial plan.
Right now, it is especially important to remember my favorite saying, “Upset is access” if you are willing to release your upsetting feelings. (The Cosmic Energy Reset Exercise from last week’s blog is great for this!)
Then, ask yourself what you want, and take one small step toward having it.
I would love to hear what lessons this Mercury Retrograde is teaching you!
Please write back, and share what you are learning with me!
And, if you get upset about anything between now and April 14th, calm yourself down, and look for your priceless lessons.
Cheers to your growth!
