An important realization I just had to share with you!
Sometimes when I am in a session with a client some realization will be discovered that I really want to share with you.
I was so excited for one of my clients, as she recounted the events of her week. She owns a business, and we have been working on helping her find a better life/work balance by setting better boundaries. She recently had been faced with 2 tough personnel issues, which she was able to handle artfully by reiterating the company’s expectations, while empowering her employees to step up to a new challenge. Right after I complimented her on how well she handled what would have been a challenging conversation in the past, she started a monologue about the source of the problem, her business partner. In a couple sentences, she went from sounding and feeling like a strong leader, to feeling and sounding more like a victim.
When you blame anyone for anything, you give your power away. The conversation is about what someone did to you verses what you want to do next to create the outcome you desire.
My client could spend precious energy blaming her partner or begin to think about how to resolve the situation. So, we released her anger with an essential oil and my chakra clearing protocol, and she immediately was able to make a list of steps to create a solution.
Immediately, she was the boss again! She took her power back!
You can BE THE CHANGE you want to see happen, even if the problem you are facing isn’t your fault.
Usually there is some old, past belief driving blame. So, if or when you find yourself blaming anyone,
- See if you can stop and notice if this situation feels familiar to another from your past.
- Release any of the upsetting feelings you may be experiencing with one of the exercises I have taught you, then
- Think about what you want, and what action steps, including maybe making requests of others, that you could make to start creating the change you desire.
When you notice and release the emotions driving this, it makes forward action so much easier and puts you back in the driver’s seat.
