Happy New Year!
If you are hung over, PLEASE do this lymph massage ASAP; it is an amazing way to detoxify your body.
Now for your emotional state and psyche!
We all long to feel good! We aspire to make our dreams come true, and to feel connected to our passion in a meaningful way.
We make resolutions every year to help us get started, but the statistics show that while 75% of people stick to their goals for at least a week, less than half (46%) actually stick with their resolutions six month later [Health.com].
Being in the business of helping people change, I can tell you that our bodies and brains are hard-wired to resist change. Since our primal minds are constantly trying to keep us safe, and change threatens the status quo, its important to make changes in little steps, to slowly open our mind to what is possible in stages and also emotionally appreciate our little steps toward success.
Please don’t beat yourself up if you haven’t accomplished your new year’s resolutions from last year.
You have plenty of time to make what you want happen this year. And, if you FEEL into it, as I suggest in the exercise below, you will have a good chance of beating the statistics!
So let’s get started!
- Write down at least 3 – 5 goals for 2015. Make sure they are positive, measurable and under your control.
- Think about how you would feel after you accomplish those goals! List three to five adjectives to describe those feelings. Example: When I accomplish my goal of running a marathon this year, I will feel free, invigorated, unstoppable and ready for anything!
- Establish a theme for 2015 using those adjectives! Example: This is my year of free living, invigorated energy and being ready for anything!
Now,think about one step you could take today to get you just a little closer to your goal that would make you feel one or more of the feelings above!
Feeling into it makes it so much easier!!!!!!!! Just think how amazing you will feel after you take just one small step closer to having what you want?!!!!!!!
Much love and success,
Lara
