Who do you think you are?
I don’t think you and most people know who they really are.
I mean we all know our names, where we live, what we do for a living, but we don’t recognize the qualities which make us who we are.
Think about it: the qualities we possess are with us from job to job and from city to city if we move.
Your loving nature, your creativity or your honesty go with you from situation to situation.
However, we have been trained to identify with where we are and what we do verses how we have chosen to live our lives.
You are your qualities not your circumstances.
To identify your most inherent qualities, answer these questions.
- What are the 2 positive qualities you value most in your mother?
- What are the 2 positive qualities you value most in your father?
- What are the 4 positive qualities you value most in your best friends?
Your family and friends are mirrors of you from your past and your present, so if there are any common qualities among them, they are likely very present in you as well.
Choose the 3 qualities which most resonate with you, then place them in this sentence:
I am proud to be a person who is _________________, _________________ and ____________________.
See how it feels to repeat this to yourself.
You have most likely been acting out these qualities for years.
They have most likely informed some important choices and actions in your life.
If you can remember those qualities when anything happens, they can help guide you.
So, when you get disturbing news, or wake up feeling down for whatever reason, can you remember who you are and the above qualities?
It’s much easier to handle anything upsetting when you are acting from the strength of your positive qualities.
Getting in touch with your qualities
- gets you in touch with you you really are in any situation
- separates who you are from your circumstances
- helps you direct the next phase of your life in an authentic way
See how amazing you are?
Much love and appreciation,
