Dina Manzo’s Favorite Exercise!

We love reality TV for its LIVE drama. A good reality TV producer is great at setting up the scene for drama to ensue. So, the stars of these shows walk on the set never knowing what surprise may be waiting for them.

My client, Dina Manzo of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, wanted to be able to stay as calm as possible when she walked into any situation, so I showed her the exercise, which is now her favorite, in the video below.

This exercise helps you protect your energy field and feel better, more grounded and more in your power when you are around any dramatic, stressful or upsetting situation.

This super easy exercise can be done physically or in your head. So, you can just visualize yourself doing this motion, and get the same protective result!

Doing this exercise before I leave my apartment in the morning makes for a much more relaxing commute to work, as I find things that would usually really annoy me just don’t get to me after I zip up!

And, my clients have reported having easier times and even fun with previously tough relationships. One of my clients transformed her relationship with her mother-in-law with this exercise.

This exercise strengthens your energetic field and helps you feel safe even when people around you are acting up.

So, it enables us to be less reactive and more in control of our emotions and choices.

Everyone is doing the best they can with the knowledge and awareness we have in the moment.

Knowing that, zipping up, and being able to set some boundaries with love and acceptance of the other person can make any relationship more fun and healthy.

See if you can try zipping up then a version of the this statement the next time you need to set a boundary or say, “no” to something you just don’t want to do.

Think about how you would say “no” if a child where asking you the same question.

Example:

  • I love you dearly and totally understand your point ; I need to choose something different right now.
  • I think you make an excellent point. I just can’t do that at this time.

Repeat the same line over and over with love. Continue to be understanding and accepting of the other person’s prerogative, as you are clear about what you will or will not do.

Guilt is never in energetic alignment with what we want. In fact, doing anything out of guilt, is energetically opposed to being happy. And, feeling it lowers your energy and everyone’s energy around you. So, do everyone a big favor, and zip up, think of that person as a cute little child, then say something with love and acceptance, then set that boundary and free us all!!!!!!!
