How to Produce Good Endorphins for Immediate Stress Relief
It’s still winter, and the weather on the east coast has been trying. We all could use an endorphin boost about now.
I am also one week away from my wedding, and my good friend and energy medicine practitioner, Margie Feinn reminded me of this excellent exercise created by energy medicine mentor Sarah Allen, when I stopped by the studio Saturday frazzled by the long list of things I needed to accomplish that day.
I did this exercise and, wow! It was immediate relief. Click the link below for the video taking you through it. It helps your body produce endorphins. Endorphins are any of a group of hormones secreted within the brain and nervous system. They are peptides that activate the body’s opiate receptors, causing an analgesic effect. The neuron receptors endorphins bind to are the same ones that bind some pain medicines. However, unlike with morphine, the activation of these receptors by the body’s endorphins does not lead to addiction or dependence.
And, this exercises helps to produce endorphinsfaster then a drug! Its very cool. Check out the video, and if you are feeling stress about your business and would like an endorphin boost there, check out Marie Forleo’s free video.
