Some Groundbreaking Things I Just Learned!
Just got back from my Energy Medicine Conference in FL, and as usual Donna Eden hosted an event packed with speakers who shared ground breaking research that is proving we can take more control over our own health with lifestyle, mindset and energetic changes.
Bruce Lipton spoke about studies which debunk genes as being the most important determinant of our biology. He explains that genes are blueprints, and these blueprints need signals to be carried out. This is where there is hope. We have more control over the signals then we know!
“Dean Ornish, MD, and a research team at the University of California, San Francisco, studied a group of men with prostate cancer who had chosen not to have surgery, do radiation or chemotherapy. For three months, the subjects walked for a half hour a day, ate vegetables and whole grains, and practiced meditation and stress reduction. The result of the study published in Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences in June 2008, showed that in addition to the men lowing their blood pressure and losing weight, their genes for prostate cancer and breast cancer had shut down. Ornish noted, ‘It’s an exciting finding, because so often people say, oh its all my genes, what can I do?’ “Well, it turns out you may be able to do a lot.”(Well Being Journal, p15 )
All this is supporting that a healthy environment equals good DNA, which is empowering, because it is something we CAN manipulate!
