How I Know There Is More Then Enough For Everyone.

Part 2
So, in that same Sunday service, we sang St Francis of Assisi’s prayer,
Make me a channel of your peace.
Where there is hatred let me sow love…
Oh Master grant that I may never seek,
So much to be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand
And to be loved as to love with all my soul.
I suffered from the new age dilemma of not feeling like I had enough of a lot of things, love, money etc, and I got in that moment, singing that song, that if this level of love and grace was available to me, I could never run out of having enough of anything.
If I could re-connect to this love and grace, I would always have enough to easily be able to console, to understand and to love others rather then seeking it for myself.
My soon to be husband is very Catholic, and I grew up Catholic, then rejected the faith, because I don’t believe in a lot of the rules of Catholicism. Before John of God, I would have found out my honey was Catholic and immediately moved on. Ironic that his faith and connection to God is one of the qualities I value most in him now. He brought me back to mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral, and its a special time we share together every Sunday. I sit and feel touched in not quite as intensely, but still often touched to tears by this same love.
As I said at the end of the last blog, there is power and love out there in many forms thru many venues.
